  • i found fitness : I began my fitness career in my younger 20s by becoming a certified personal trainer with the YMCA in Knoxville, TN. During this time, I taught various fitness classes such as total body strength/conditioning, water aerobics, and Zumba (I have no clue how I was talked into teaching a cardio dance class) as well as working as a certified personal trainer for the University of Tennessee Recreation Center. After 4 years, I left the YMCA and began working as a certified personal trainer and speed coach for Performance Training, Inc (PTI). PTI specializes in strength and conditioning of athletes and training in speed, agility, and quickness. I worked for PTI for 4 years before leaving to pursue a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy. During graduate school, I worked as a part time personal trainer at the East Tennessee State University Recreation Center for 2 years. Currently, I am a practicing occupational therapist and director of rehabilitation for a skilled nursing facility in north GA.
  • what i like most about fitness classes: I love seeing my clients/friends achieve and exceed their fitness goals! I love the close, personal relationships I establish with each person I teach or train. I take it to heart that if my client/friend succeeds, then I succeed. I enjoy finding what makes each person "tick" and using that to help find ways to motivate or push each client/friend to the next level in their fitness journey.
  • songs on my playlist: I love me some 90s music. Probably expect a few of those on most playlists. I tend to gravitate toward high energy songs.
